Galatians 5:6 – “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”
This means, faith works by love. Only faith pleases God. I know you keep asking yourself. What is wrong? I am a Christian. I want to move mountains”, but the Bible says, faith works by love. It is so important that we learn to practice love in our lives on a daily basis. That life has been imparted to our spirits through the Word of God by the Holy Spirit. If we’ll just let that love dominate us, what a difference it will make in our lives. It’s up to us to do something with that love nature. Even though the love of God is in us because it’s been shed abroad in our hearts, it won’t be developed unless we put it into action. It is our duty to develop the love of God. And to believe God fully and operate in the faith of God, we must walk in the love of God. This means, faith, where it is true, where it is genuine, where it is patriotic, is a working grace.
Matthew 5:44 says love your neighbour and pray for those who persecute you. If you love your neighbour, you will not stand on the pulpit and begin to preach against your neighbour, you will not use your pulpit to launch attacks. If you love your neighbour, you will pray for your enemy and those who persecute you. A person who does not love cannot be entrusted with that kind of power – to heal, to deliver, to redeem and to save.. If we’ll just walk in the light of God’s love, we can bear up under anything. We’ll be able to love our neighbour whether we feel like it or not. Too many times, however, believers act in a selfish manner. The God-kind of love doesn’t insist on its own rights. If we force for our rights, we’re not walking in the love of God. And we won’t be able to believe God fully until we understand the God-kind of love and walk in it. Why? Because the God-kind of faith works by love.
